The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) showcases the finest of Indian cinema in all of its forms, from Hindi blockbusters to regional theatres in other languages and movies from the Indian subcontinent. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia was recently spotted at the IFFM press conference dolled up in a fabulous green saree. But what caught our eye was her absolutely natural yet spectacular make up! “The idea was to use natural base makeup. We kept her skin as natural as we could. But we chose a point to highlight. It was her eyes and the hair that we wanted to push out there,” says Florian, who has styled the likes of Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra.

Talking about the relationship he shares with Tamannaah, Florian says that he has always loved working with her. “She is now like a friend. I have known ever since I came to India. She is one of my first clients and we do the best projects together!” he says.

STEP 1 : BASE
When your base is applied correctly, it creates a solid foundation for the rest of your makeup, allowing your primary features to stand out clearly. Start by cleaning, toning, and moisturising your face before applying a primer that will make your skin sparkle. After that, choose a skin colour and apply it to your neck and face. On places that require additional coverage, use concealer. For your makeup to stay on, mist a setting spray on your face and neck.

STEP 2 : EYEBROWS
Your beauty look can be made or broken by how well-groomed your brows are. Before filling in any gaps with a brow pencil, brush them up with a spoolie first. After applying a brow gel to keep those hairs in place, apply a second coat of brushing to further blend the colour.

STEP 3 : CONTOURING
Make sure to contour with warmer pigments while using blushing eye-shadow shades. In the crease of your eyelids, smudge a champagne or bronze shimmer eye-shadow in the direction of your brow bones. Apply this colour to the inner corners of your eyes as well as your lower lash lines. Next, using a brown eye-shadow, mix it along your upper and lower lash lines. For a lifted impression, go bolder on the outer corners. For a subtle smoky appearance, use a brown kohl to define the lash lines and lightly smudge it.

STEP 4 : CHEEKS
By adding bronzer to your cheekbones, hairline, and jawline, you may give your skin a glowing appearance. Apply a blush with a peach undertone to your cheeks. Use highlighter to add some glitz to the high points of your face.

STEP 5 : LIPS
Start your lip routine by exfoliating and moisturising to get rid of chapped skin for a stunningly lush pout. Apply a nude pink velvet matte lipstick after defining the shape of your lips with a nude lip pencil. Adding gloss on top will add an additional shine if you desire.
