Following his performance in Heeramandi, Taha Shah Badussha is set to take on a new project, Nazdeekiyan, backed by Karan Johar under Dharmatic Entertainment. The announcement marks another significant step in the actor’s evolving career, as he transitions from period drama to a contemporary relationship-based narrative.
Taha’s association with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Heeramandi proved to be a turning point, allowing him to showcase his range on a larger canvas. With Nazdeekiyan, the actor is now set to explore a different space, focusing on modern relationships and emotional complexities.
Sharing his thoughts on the collaboration, Taha said, “Today feels very special. From being a part of Dharma’s Gippi to now collaborating again with Karan Johar, it truly feels like a full-circle journey. After working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir, I’m excited to explore a completely new space with Nazdeekiyan. I’m grateful and really looking forward to audiences experiencing it.”

The film also features Paresh Pahuja, Aakanksha Singh, and Nikita Dutta, bringing together a fresh ensemble cast. The narrative revolves around intertwined relationships, where professional connections give way to personal entanglements.
At the heart of Nazdeekiyan is a story about two individuals, Seher and Abhay, whose professional association inadvertently draws their spouses, Ved and Meera, into a deeply emotional and complicated relationship. As feelings intensify, the characters are forced to confront difficult choices between duty and desire, raising questions about love, loyalty, and the cost of happiness.
Directed by Ruchir Arun, the project is written by Priyanka Bannerjee, Prateek Payodi, Abhinandan Sridhar, and Heem Verma, with dialogues by Preeti Mamgain. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta, with Anu Ramsay serving as executive producer.
