Furthermore, the actress knows how to keep up the adventurous element in her life and recently she went a step further by learning this new skill. Gul recently received her pilot license and she was more than happy to share about it on social media.

Gul Panag recently took to Instagram to share a long note about the day she discovered her love for flying and her journey towards becoming a pilot. Talking about pursuing her dreams, the actress posted an old picture of her in the pilot attire and said, “Looking back on the day I cleared my last check. Big, big day. Big big bucket list item. A common question I get asked is, "So will you get a CPL and fly commercially?" And I answer with all the humility at my command, "No,for me this is a passion and a hobby." Remember when we had hobbies? Before we got stuck in the rut that our lives become? We had things we looked forward to and enjoyed? THAT. Pursuing a hobby (or hobbies) ends up making us better at our core competence. Because it brings with it a whole new perspective. Being a pilot has added value to me as an actor, an entrepreneur and a public speaker. It's changed the way I look at things. Gul also posted a picture of her recently received license and stated that since many of them haven’t seen one, she decided to give a sneak peek of the same on social media. On the other hand, she further also explained the process of exams for getting the certificate, wherein she spoke about the written test as well as aircraft testing further adding the importance of submitting medical papers, flight radio operators’ license, log book etc.

She also revealed about how DGCA [Directorate of General Civil Aviation] requires 40 hours of flying before they approve one’s license, Gul elaborated on how she decided to split her time into three to four instalments. While she has to clear an exam for every plan she wants to be rated on, the actress is currently flying the Cessna 172 Thielert.

Furthermore, Gul Panag also shared her plan of getting together her like-minded friends for a flight journey across the world by buying their own plane. She expressed her desire to do this trip in a single engine aircraft.
