Gen Y superstar Varun Dhawan has been involved in many social campaigns. The actor, who has a huge kid fan following, recently met up with some of the school kids from Uttarakhand. During this small interaction session, he was in for a surprise when he came across his first acting teacher.
Varun Dhawan’s first acting teacher was none other than Sanjana Kapoor, daughter of veteran actor Shashi Kapoor and his late wife Jennifer Kendal. She has been quite active on the theatre circuit and was the first one to teach Varun acting when he was 11 years old. While the actor couldn’t hold his excitement after meeting his teacher, he shared the picture on social media and explained the same, saying, “With Sanjana Kapoor my first teacher for acting. I was 11 when I joined her classes at Prithvi and even today her smile and face is still the same.”
From what we hear, the play of Sanjana Kapoor, which Varun was a part of, had the Dhawan boy playing the role of Cinderella. As interesting as that sounds, it is being said that Sanjana was extremely confident about the fact that Varun would not only be able to pull it off but he is someone who wouldn’t have inhibitions in doing the role. In fact, Shashi Kapoor was present at the audience when Varun played the role of Cinderella.
Last seen in Dishoom, Varun Dhawan is now gearing up for the Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania after which, he will start the prep for David Dhawan’s Judwaa 2.
