Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin: Samir Khan opens up about playing lead antagonist; says, “It’s like a wish being ticked off my acting bucket list”

Samir Khan is currently essaying the role of Ayush, who is the son of the trustee studying in Bhosale Institute.

Readers would recall that Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin recently witnessed a massive leap as the iconic characters of the show played by Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh, and Aishwarya Sharma have exited it. Now after 20 years, the story focuses on Savi, daughter of Virat and Sai Chavan as well as Ishaan Bhosle and Reva, essayed by Bhavika Sharma, Shakti Arora, and Sumit Singh. Along with them, a new set of actors are introduced including the Bhosale family and other co-students of Savi Chavan. Playing the son of the trustee is Samir Khan, who will be playing as the lead antagonist and recently he opened about returning as the villain yet again in a Star Plus show.

Talking about his role as the antagonist Ayush in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Samir said, “It is like coming back home, this is my second project with StarPlus. Before GHKPM, I have played negative' role in the show Kabhi Kabhi Ittefaq Se. I always wanted to be a part of the Shaika and Cockrow production. Working with the production had been a long-standing dream. So, playing Ayush in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is like a wish being ticked off my acting bucket list!”

He added, “Performing a negative character is extremely challenging and fun at the same time. Although I have mostly played negative characters on TV so far, every character has been very different from the other, and hence the challenge as well as fun never ceases. I just hope that I am able to do justice to my character and the fans give me the same love they do to the show.”

In the recent episode we saw that Savi has joined the college which has Ishaan as the dean, and despite his many attempts, Ms. Chavan managed to win every challenge. But Savi’s problems are far from over. Along with the wrath of Ishaan and Bhosale family, Savi also has to face the rich and spoilt students of Bhosale Institute. Along with the girls of the Bhosale family, it is Ayush, who is introduced as one of the boys in their group, who constantly troubles and even tries to misbehave with Savi while the group is ragging and bullying her.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin airs on Star Plus every day at 8 pm.
