Mohnish Bahl, son of late actress Nutan, is making his comeback and this time on Television. After his leading role in Sony TV’s Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, the actor is set to make his comeback with the reboot of the early 2000s show, Sanjivani. 15 years ago, Mohnish Bahl made his way to Television with Sanjivani. Now, he will be reprising his role of Dr. Shashank Gupta in the reboot.
Marking the National Doctors Day on Monday, July 1, producer Siddharth P. Malhotra shared the first look on his Twitter account. “It’s National Doctors Day, so ‘Sanjivani 2’ ka first look banta hai. Presenting Dr Ishaani (Surbhi Chandna), Dr Sid (Namit Khanna), Dr Anjali (Sayantani Ghosh), the original pillars Dr Juhi (Gurdip Kohli) and my favourite always Dr Shashank (Mohnish Bahl),” he captioned the photos.
While Mohnish Bahl will reprise his role of Dr. Shashank Gupta, Gurdeep Kohli will be returning as Dr. Juhi. The original show had four lead characters. This time Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai actor Namit Khanna and Ishqbaaz actor Surbhi Chandna will lead the show with another new entrant Sayantani Ghosh.
Mohnish Bahl was a surgeon and a trustee of the hospital in the original show. He also played the same role in the sequel of the show Dill Mill Gaye which aired from 2007 to 2010. The show will go on air in July on Star Plus.
