Bhumi Pednekar made her debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Dum Lagaa Ke Haisha and since then there have been several rumours about the couple collaborating again. And now, the Jodi has signed a new film Shubh Mangal Savdhan, to be produced by Aanand L. Rai in collaboration with Eros.
Shubh Mangal Savdhan also marks the directorial debut of South actor-director RS Prasanna. The film is said to be quirky rom-com and here’s a glimpse of the adorable chemistry that Ayushmann and Bhumi will share in the film. It will be shot in Delhi and Haridwar in a start-to finish schedule and will release in August this year.
Producer Aanand L Rai says, “Shubh Mangal Savdhan is a funny and layered story. These are the kind of stories I've identified with, right from the time I made Tanu Weds Manu. It is a simple narrative with an interesting bend and the reason I cast Ayushmann and Bhumi is that they fit the bill perfectly for this part. They are the sort of actors I could be friends with even if they didn't belong to the fraternity. They are simple and humble.”
On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar had been paired up for another love story, a love triangle of sorts along with Vicky Kaushal in the film Manmarziyan. However, there has been no update on the film and last we heard that the film was shelved.
