We all are aware of the several talents of Farhan Akhtar. From acting to filmmaking to music, there is hardly anything that this star can’t do. What he has also inherited is the penmanship from his Javed Akhtar. The renowned lyricist-poet, who has scripted some of the best songs and films in Bollywood, has passed on his poetic legacy to Farhan, who has time and again showcased his penchant for poems even in his films. Now during a recent event he yet again recited a poetry that left everyone around him in awe.

Do you remember the beautiful verses from the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that inspired everyone to follow their heart, their dreams! In a similar way, Farhan Akhtar recited a heartfelt poetry during a MARD initiative. For the uninitiated, MARD (Men against Rape and Discrimination) was an initiative kicked off by Farhan Akhtar in association with some of his friends, to champion the cause of an equal world for women. During one of its events, Farhan recited a rather heartfelt poem in Hindi and he posted a throwback video of the same on social media.

Taking to Instagram, he posted a video of him reciting the poetry at a MARD event adding, “10 years ago, the MARD initiative was born. Over this past decade, we have endeavoured to take our message of men having to be active participants in creating an equal and safe society for women, across the length and breadth of India. I’d like to thank all those who supported and partnered with our cause. Our work continues and with this poem, I invite you all to come be a catalyst for change.”

On the work front, Farhan Akhtar also owns the production house Excel Entertainment along with Ritesh Sidhwani . The actor-filmmaker is expected to be currently working on a script for his banner and is also said to start work on the Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt starrer Jee Le Zara.
