EXCLUSIVE: After Salman Khan, expect Katrina Kaif’s fantastic look in BHARAT as she goes GRAY!

While Salman Khan has garnered rave reviews for his five different looks in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat trailer, his elderly look where he sports grey hair and a beard. Now we have come to know from Ali that like Salman, even Katrina’s life will be shown in five different looks, starting from 1964 to 2010 and the actress will also sport an elderly look with greying hair and wrinkled skin. Bharat is an official remake of the South Korean movie, An Ode To My Father, and is about the journey of Bharat (Salman Khan), his journey through the various phases of Indian history, beginning from the partition of the country to the current scenario, and the people he meets during that journey. This will be the first time that Katrina will be shown as an elderly person in a movie.

It is the journey of a country and also a person (Salman), both of whom go by the name of Bharat and as the film spans across five decades, it will also capture the evolution of India, along with Bharat and as Katrina plays his wife, Kumud Raina, in the movie she will also have various looks in it. The movie begins from where Katrina and Salman are sitting and chatting in the year 2010 where both have gone old and he narrates to her the story of his journey till now and why some things are so special for him. The makers didn’t want to reveal all of Katrina’s looks in the trailer. They will be subsequently shown when the film releases.

Ali Abbas says, “Katrina will also be shown in an older role like Salman as they journey through the different time frames together. You have never seen her like this before. She has given a fabulous performance and shines through the film. We have flown in a prosthetics team from abroad for both Salman and Katrina for their various looks including the bit where both are aged. While Salman would sometimes get restless as we had to try his various looks, Katrina was extremely patient.”

Ask him about his journey with Salman in Bharat and Ali says, “Salman is a beautiful human being from the inside and that is what has come through in the film. I have used his super stardom as a star along with his performance and the outcome is mind-blowing! Both Katrina and Salman have given incredible performances in the movie.”

The Bharat trailer has Salman as a circus artist, in a white embroidered jacket and retro style sunglasses, an oil mine worker and it opens to him as an old man talking about his journey. It will be exciting to see Katrina for the first time as an old woman.
