Veteran actress Revathy, a fellow veteran from the same field, plays his wife in his swan song with an extraordinary title. As the film is getting ready for release, Revathy looks back at her late and last co-star in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama.

Recalling the time when she shot the film with him, she said, “He was a gentleman. He was a very giving actor. He used to sit with us, guide us and create the whole scene. He was such a fabulous actor. The more rehearsals you do (with him), the more fun it was. He was a person who loved rehearsals. He was from theatre. He has worked in a lot of languages.”

Revathy is also all praise for him as a person. “Never was he seen upset or anything,” she added. “He was constantly smiling and cheerful.”

Gokhale, unfortunately, will miss the release of Jagjivan Ki Patni Ka Teesra Pyar. “As the film is releasing after long, we really miss him. But he has seen the film. In that way we are quite (glad). Rajesh had shown him,” she said.

Revathy also revealed what Gokhale loved as much as acting. “As much as he loved acting, he loved food,” she said. “He used to see to it that all of us sit together to have our meals. That was very nice. We were shooting in a small bungalow in Nainital. The production was also a small, nice crew. There were times when we used to finish at dinner time. So, we used to finish our dinner together with the entire crew. Not just the technicians but everybody – the light people, art department.”

Revathy and Gokhale started off in an era where there were not much facilities for actors. This was the reason they didn’t like eating alone. “Both Vikram ji and me have come from a time when there was no caravans,” she said. “So, we never used to sit alone and eat. We always sat with everybody. There are a lot of beautiful memories (with him).”
