In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Pankaj Tripathi spoke warmly about the cast of his first production Perfect Family, highlighting how the theme of the series encouraged everyone to express themselves more openly than they usually do during film promotions.
Tripathi shared that the show’s subject matter created a safe and honest environment for the entire team. “If there is a therapist like Neha (Dhupia), then half the patient will be cured first,” he said, appreciating the authenticity brought to the character. He went on to applaud the entire ensemble, calling them exceptional performers who elevated the project through their sincerity and depth.
He praised Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa, both highly respected actors in the industry. Tripathi revealed that even Seema Pahwa noticed how unexpectedly personal the interviews had become. “She also said that we are talking such personal things in the interview, which usually do not happen in film promotions. But because the subject is such that we are able to openly express our feelings, our conflicts and our suffering,” he shared.
Tripathi also appreciated Gulshan and spoke fondly of Girija Oak, who recently went viral online. “Girja Oak has suddenly become a national crush on the internet. For us she is a great actress. We have known her for many years,” he said, noting that her newfound attention was long overdue.
Wrapping up his thoughts, Tripathi emphasised that every actor in the series delivered remarkable work. “All are beautiful actors and actresses and all of them have done a wonderful job,” he added, acknowledging the team effort behind the show’s emotional depth and authenticity.
