EXCLUSIVE: Palak Muchhal on crooning for Salman Khan’s ‘Naiyo Ladga’ from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan: ‘He’s the one who gave me my first song in the industry’

The film is slated to release on Eid 2023 and will be a Zee Studios worldwide release.

Over the weekend, Salman Khan unveiled the first song from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. A blissful composition by Himesh Reshammiya, the song features Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde. Set in the beautiful valleys around Leh and Ladakh, the romantic number is crooned by Kamaal Khan and Palak Muchhal. The female singer is grateful to have once again worked with Salman. She had previously crooned 'Laapata' with KK for the Yash Raj banner which was included in the 2012 blockbuster movie Ek Tha Tiger.

In an exclusive conversation, Palak Muchhal tells Bollywood Hungama that it is a special song for her. "My latest song ‘Naiyo Lagda’ from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is very special for various reasons. The first reason is that it's Salman sir’s movie and it's always special to sing for him. It’s mainly because he's the one who gave me my first song in the industry and supported me throughout my journey so much. I've sung many songs for his films and it's and it is extra special to sing for his friends. He’s been one of the greatest supports I have had in my career. He's also supported me in my mission, and felicitated surgeries of 100 kids from a waiting list. So yes, I'm really happy that I got to be a part of yet another iconic film of his," the singer says.

She adds, "The second reason is Himesh Reshammiya’s composition. Whenever I’ve sung for him, the song has become a super duper hit. And again, I have sung many songs for him and all the songs received so much love. I'm really happy that ‘Naiyo Lagda’ is already receiving so much love from everybody. I've been getting messages and calls. It’s a very nostalgic melody. It's a pure melody, and I'm really happy that I got to share this song with Kamaal Khan. It's beautifully written by Shabbir Ahmed. I'm really happy that the song is getting so much love."

The film stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar with all the elements of a Salman Khan film – romance, action, and drama.
