Namashi Chakraborty, the son of Mithun Chakraborty, is ready to commence his 2023 with the movie Bad Boy, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Sajid Qureshi from Inbox Pictures. This romantic comedy will also introduce Amrin Qureshi, Sajid Qureshi's daughter. Namashi recently spoke about the advice he got from his father Mithun Chakraborty and also opened up on the added pressure he is facing before the release of the film.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Nimashi revealed the tips he received from his father Mithun Chakraborty. He said, “He (Mithun Chakraborty) just told me to obey my director because he knew for a fact that when its Mr. Santoshi, its going to be a very smooth ride if you understand your director because he is a man of great experience. But my father always told me that films in general are a director’s medium and the actor is a part of the entire imagination. So always follow your director and always remember that your eyes are your USP. For any actor it’s the eyes. So, try to be expressive from your eyes and you know the emotion has to be seen on screen. When they (audience) look at you, they look at your eyes first. So, always try to emote strongly with your eyes.”

Talking about the added pressure for him as he is a son of a legendary actor Mithun Chakraborty, Namashi said, “I do sense that from a lot of people around the world, especially from the media, as the release days are approaching."

Taking about getting compared to his father, Namashi asserted, “I genuinely feel the pressure is that there is a legacy behind me of a man who has been working in the movie world for about 47 years now. So firstly, the comparison shouldn't be there of how good I am compared to dad, because if you compare me to someone who's done more than 380 released films, there is no comparison. It's a complete no, no. But I think the pressure that I am willing to take is that when people are going to come and watch the film, which I hope they do, they should not find me to be an actor who cannot act. I do believe I have done a decent job in this film and if I am a decent actor, I think for a beginner, for a debut making actor, that would be more than enough. And the pressure of any star child, I think is rather saved if you are talented, but if you aren't then the pressure weighs in more.”

Helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Bad Boy also stars Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Darshan Jariwala and Saswata Chatterjee in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Anjum Qureshi and Sajid Qureshi under the banner, Inbox Pictures and is scheduled to release theatrically on April 28, 2023.
