While the rest of us are spending the lock-down with our family and near ones, actor Mouni Roy is stuck in Abu Dhabi, unable to return home, owing to the national lock-down. Mouni, who is staying at her childhood friend's place, had a candid conversation with Bollywood Hungama. We asked her about her upcoming film Brahmastra, which is facing delays for a while now, and is now further uncertain, thanks to the global pandemic.
Mouni, however, says she is not aware of the latest progress. "I don't know, I would not know. Like you said, it's a very big film and I am a very small part of it. So, you'd have to ask the people concerned who'd actually know what's happening," she said.
Brahmastra will bring lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor on the big screen for the first time, and Mouni is all praises for the two artistes. "They're fire on screen. As amazing actors as brilliant humans they are, in real life. It was my privilege to work with them," she answered, when quizzed about her experience of working with them.
The film, helmed by Ayan Mukerji, was supposed to hit the screens this year in December. However, the final schedule is yet to be shot and one can assume that it will not be able to meet the dates now. It is also reported that the film went through heavy budget cut owing to the present situation.
All we can do is to wait and see!
