With War and now Pathaan, Siddharth Anand has had two blockbusters back-to-back. The team of Pathaan opted for no interview policy and no hard-hitting promotions. They simply were dependent on the craze surrounding the movie and the return of Shah Rukh Khan to the big screen. While SRK and Deepika were seen at FIFA World Cup, events respectively followed by a few events in the country, not much was spoken publicly by the stars.

Now, Siddharth Anand has been doing interviews and giving insights into the making of the film. Directing Shah Rukh Khan for the first time has paid off well. The total worldwide gross of the film is an incredible Rs. 729 crores and the nett collection in India stands at Rs. 378.15 crores. So, what is it like to direct a megastar like SRK?

Siddharth Anand tells Bollywood Hungama, “I think it's addictive. I think having him on set, for everybody, he's such a joy. He just doesn't make his aura felt. And small things like when he comes in, he says, ‘good morning’ to everybody individually. ‘Good morning, and good night’ and in the end, ‘thank you’. It's the mark of a great person. Yeah, so when I used to shoot him, and even if I'm not shooting his shot, I would be directing the other actors and he would be sitting on the chair over there and suddenly, someone would tap me and I turn to him it was him and he would ask, ‘Sid, can I just go to the loo and come?’ And I'm like, ‘No, you can’t be asking me this’. So he's such an amazing person to just have on set the energy.”

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is currently running in theatres in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has two more releases this year – Atlee Kumar’s Jawan releasing in June followed by Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in December.

On the other hand, Siddharth Anand reunites with Hrithik Roshan for the third time after Bang Bang and War. He will direct Fighter which marks his reunion with Deepika Padukone, too. The film will release in theatres on Republic Day 2024.
