Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday are currently gearing up for the release of their Pan-India film Liger. The actors sat for an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama and shared their experience of working with international icon, American former professional boxer Mike Tyson.

When asked about Mike Tyson and his experience of working with the great personality, the Arjun Reddy actor said, “He has such a huge image preceding him. You have heard of him since you were a kid. When we landed in Vegas I still didn't know if he was going to turn up on set. I was like ‘Are we shooting with Mike Tyson? Is he actually going to come or is a double going to come? Are we talking of some imaginary people?’ And then when we landed on set, that man was actually walking.”

He continued, "I was in between a take, he was coming in his costume, I was like ‘Oh oh f***, he is actually here.’ Then I was like ‘I will just finish my take and go say hi to him.’ One more thing we assumed about him is that ‘Oh he is a senior personality, a superstar, he will come by 12 or so. Let’s plan something in the morning before he comes, everyone will warm up.’ But he would turn up on set at 8, even before us every day. So, once we understood his timing that he comes really early, we all had to rush and be ready for him.”

Ananya then added, “Once he came on set, he would never go and sit in the room or sit in the van. He was on set all the time. And whatever Puri sir said, he said ‘Yeah I’ll do it.’ First few days we were like ‘Should we ask him if we can do this or we can do that.’ But he was open to everything. When he stood in front of the frame, he didn't have to do anything. He has so much personality and this larger-than-life aura to him. He was so sweet and funny, cracking jokes and everything.”

Liger will see South actor Vijay Deverakonda play the role of an underdog boxer who makes his way to international fame. The movie will also feature a cameo of former American professional boxer Mike Tyson. Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, the movie will arrive in theatres on August 25.
