Katrina Kaif spoke exclusively to Bollywood Hungama about the launch of nail lacquer after launching a variety of products from Kay Beauty. When asked what was the thought process behind launching the new range during the festive season, Katrina said, "Honestly I think nail paints are something we all use all the time! I wanted to create a collection that is suited for every mood and every occasion and most of all cares for your nails. I picked from the classic colours - fresh pastels, raw nudes, and vibrant hues so that everyone finds their favourite. So festive season or not you’ll find something in this range."

Does Katrina have a favourite from her latest collection? She said, "I love Nude nail paints and my favourite is Bittersweet, from pastels it’s Tender Lavender and for a bright colour, I love Firecracker!"

Budgeting is very important when consumers buy products. When it comes to celebrity collections, it is always seen the pricing is too high which sometimes can't be afforded. But, Katrina's range is very budget friendly. "Kay Beauty Nail Nourish Nail Lacquer combines nail care with high shine glossy colour. The Avocado Oil and Lemon Peel Water helps the nails with hydration, prevents chipping and yellowing of the nails. The formula delivers a super glossy gel-like finish that is to die for! So in just one stroke, you get a pure colour and it cares for your nails, what’s not to love! Nail paints are such fun products and I wanted everyone to buy them and play with them, that’s why we priced them in such a way that everyone can own them!" she added.

Over Katrina Kaif has become a trendsetter. But, when asked whether she follows trends or creates her own, she said, "A mix! Love following trends and I keep finding ways to make them more fun and easy for everyone who will use Kay Beauty products to recreate them."

When asked she could leave the house using just one makeup item, what would she use, she said, "Kay Beauty Smokey Kajal - always and always! I can use it to create multiple eye looks on the go - smudge it for a Smokey look, intense deep eyes, basic kohl eyes and much more."

Commenting on this collection, Katrina Kaif said, “This collection is very personal because it’s the result of something I found really missing in my life! My schedule is constantly changing and I needed a nail enamel that would last me through everything - from my workouts to photo shoots to the red carpet - and not have to worry about damaging my nails.
