Ranveer Singh is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar releasing on May 13, 2022. The actor takes on an interesting role and this year with a satirical family drama. In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actor spoke at length about his role, his life, and more. During the chat, the actor was asked about how he continues to be someone who opts to showcase his fun side to the people instead of his serious side. He says that he wants to be someone who can spread joy.

"Let me tell you! It's not like I can't do intellectual, intelligent, deep conversations. There is that side of me. Of course, if someone engages me in that kind of conversation so people can see that side of me. I'm in constant touch with my fans on social media platforms, I think that's the wonderful side of it, that you can have this one-to-one connection with your fans. So they write to me every day, and I read what they write. They're like, 'you have this side of you.' My wife [Deepika Padukone] says it as well exactly what you're saying is that you have this side of you that we don't often get to see. But I guess it's a function, of context. You put me in that context, and you'll probably see it. But yes, there is that very deep intellectual side to me. My wife keeps telling me that you are so intelligent but we don't often get to see that side you," he tells Bollywood Hungama.

"I think Naseer sir [Naseeruddin Shah] told me the most wonderful thing is like, 'In this play of life, you choose to play the fool and the fool is actually the wisest one.' So, so yeah, I take that, and I'm happy to be the court jester. Because my calling is to be an entertainer; entertain people. I always say this 'Man, life is suffering'. Kalyug ka zamana hai. We're all on this difficult journey is difficult for everybody's fighting their own battles. What would give my life purpose and be fulfilling to me is if whoever is walking on this journey with me is that I can relieve the person of some burden and nothing more! That would give me fulfillment. So I'm happy to be a source of some kind of joy and happiness and sunshine for others, and be an entertainer. That is my calling, and that's what makes me feel most fulfilled," he says.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh will next star in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, and Shankar's Anniyan remake.
