EXCLUSIVE: Code Name: Tiranga star Parineeti Chopra finds THIS spy-thriller ‘amazing’ : Bollywood News

Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, and Harrdy Sandhu starrer Code Name: Tiranga was released in theatres on October 14, 2022. Though the action-thriller is performing poorly at the box office, a section of Parineeti’s fans are lauding the performance of the diva. Before the release of Code Name: Tiranga, the star cast extensively spoke about the film with Bollywood Hungama.

Along with that, Chopra and Sandhu also actively participated in our fun rapid-fire round. When we asked Parineeti to name her favourite spy-thriller film, the actress gave an interesting answer. She asserted, “The ones that women played were really exciting for me. We talk about this film a lot - Salt. For me, it was amazing.”

For the unversed, Salt is an American spy-thriller film, which was released in 2010. Popular actress Angelina Jolie played the titular character of CIA agent Evelyn Salt. The Phillip Noyce directorial had received a mixed response from the audience as well as the critics.

Coming back to Parineeti and her rapid-fire with us, we also asked her if her character Durga in the film had to take help from Bollywood spy characters, who would it be? In the options, we gave her Salman Khan from the Tiger series, Akshay Kumar from Baby, and Hrithik Roshan from War.

Interestingly, Chopra ditched all three and picked Byomkesh Bakshi, a fictional detective created by the Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. Talking about Code Name: Tiranga, the film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and is jointly produced by T-Series, Reliance Entertainment and Film Hangar.
