EXCLUSIVE: Ayan Mukerji talks about Shah Rukh Khan’s sequence in Brahmastra; says, “It was one of the pillar sequences” : Bollywood News

As Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned a year older this month, he treated fans with the teaser of his comeback project, Pathaan. While a section of fans is eagerly waiting to see their favourite star on the big screen, it is worth mentioning that he was recently seen in Brahmastra for a cameo appearance. For the unversed, the film opened on a high note with him unleashing as Vana Astra. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, director Ayan Mukerji talked about the sequence and how it lifted the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer.

The sequence itself grabbed attention and praise. When asked if he was expecting it, the director said, “No, I did not expect it. That's the magic of movies. As much as you are making it and spending time with it, when it releases in a cinema with a live audience it becomes something completely different. We were very excited about that sequence, we had Mr Shah Rukh Khan in that sequence.”

Elaborating further, Ayan added, “It was one of the pillar sequences of the film. We wanted to start the film with a bang but you never really know if people are going to like it to such an extent and I definitely felt that whatever people felt about the film that sequence got unanimous love.”

Interestingly, the Wake Up Sid director also talked about the new edits the team made for the OTT release, which includes a couple of dialogues in the second half. The fantasy adventure was released on Disney+ Hotstar on November 4.
