EXCLUSIVE: 12th Fail actress Medha Shankr reveals that her first salary was Rs. 3000 12 : Bollywood News

Medha Shankr, who gained massive fame and love for her role as the leading lady in 12th Fail, recently had a heartfelt and candid conversation with Bollywood Hungama, wherein she opened up about her journey. In a short segment, the actress opened up about a series her ‘firsts’ in life which included about her first job and how much she earned as her first salary.

During this conversation, Medha Shankr confessed to Bollywood Hungama that her first salary is Rs. 3000. She said, “The first salary I have ever earned is Rs. 3000 because I was an intern”. Further speaking about her first job, she added, “I used to work as an intern merchandising manager”. In this series of firsts, the actress also made some other interesting revelations which included her first audition to be that for an ‘Fashion Big Bazaar’ ad. She also mentioned that she was bit by the acting bug at the age of ‘16’.

In the same interaction, Medha Shankr also recalled her first celebrity meeting and it was with Main Tera Hero actor Varun Dhawan. Although she didn’t reveal much about her first meet in this rapid Q&A session. While Medha has been in the industry for over five years now, the actress also mentioned that she has been rejected several times in the past. Speaking about her rejection, she said, “In Bombay for an acting project, I faced rejection for the first time. And to be honest, I don't remember which one because there are so many that I have lost count.”

Medha Shankr earned praises for her role as Shraddha Joshi, which is inspired by the real-life IRS officer. Her film 12th Fail is inspired by the real life IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma with Vikrant Massey is playing the lead role. It is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and it released in theatres on October 27.
