Actor Divyenndu has shared his experiences regarding the reception he received from audiences in Hyderabad ahead of his upcoming Telugu cinema debut in Peddi. The actor noted that his introduction to the local fanbase occurred during the filming schedule of the project in the city.
Divyenndu revealed that fellow actor Ram Charan initially informed him about the popularity of his character Munna Bhaiya from the web show Mirzapur in the region. The actor subsequently witnessed this reception firsthand while shooting a crowded sports sequence for the film.
Speaking about the interaction, Divyenndu said, “I knew that Mirzapur had performed well in Telugu but it was Ram sir who first told me just how big the love was in Hyderabad. I truly experienced it while shooting the film. There was a cricket sequence with a large crowd and the way people reacted when they saw me made me realise there was no exaggeration at all. What touched me the most was how openly people expressed their affection. They came up to me and said things like, ‘We have seen your work’ and ‘We really like you.’ That kind of genuine appreciation gives you a lot of confidence as an actor. Since this is my first Telugu film, receiving so much love and encouragement from the audience has been a tremendous boost.”
Beyond his role as Ram Bujji in Peddi, the actor recently appeared in the film Glory. The current year marks a significant period for his career as he also readies to reprise his well-known role in the upcoming venture Mirzapur: The Movie.
