Fans of John Abraham are quite excited to see him in this intriguing role of an intelligent officer whose biggest weapon is his communication skills. The actor unveiled the trailer of his much-anticipated film The Diplomat last month and is currently busy promoting it, ahead of its release. While it is a known fact that it is based on true incidents, John opened up about meeting real-life Indian Diplomat J.P. Singh.
The actor also shared insights about the workshops he attended for his character and how they helped him. Speaking about closely observing Indian diplomat J.P. Singh when he met him on set, he added, “J.P. Singh sir came on set, and I observed his body language, the way he spoke—bahut hi (really) sweet, simple, lekin pata hai jaise shatranj ke table pe, (but he what’s on the chess table), how you have your moves, etc. I think he thinks 10 moves ahead. Matlab, voh baat toh aaram se karenge (As in we will talk about it later), but he has already planned what his next 10 moves are - and that’s how a diplomat behaves.”
Speaking of his film The Diplomat, it portrays the efforts of Indian diplomat as he strives to rescue an Indian woman from Pakistan. The film is an emotional psychological thriller that promises to keep you glued to the screen. Along with their aim to tell powerful true stories, the makers are eagerly looking forward to showcase this intense narrative to the audiences, set to release on the Holi weekend.
The Diplomat showcases John Abraham in a never-seen-before avatar, portraying a character rooted in tact, wit, and negotiation along with Sadia Khateeb in a key role.
