After the trailer of Dhurandhar created a major buzz—crossing 50 million views on YouTube since its release on November 18—Saregama, Jio Studios and B62 Studios fast-tracked the launch of the much-awaited track ‘Ishq Jalakar – Karvaan’. The decision came in response to overwhelming public demand.
From the moment the trailer dropped, viewers were captivated by the haunting Qawwali melody featured in it. Composed by Shashwat Sachdev and Roshan Lal, the track builds on the legacy of Roshan Lal’s original timeless classic, a song that remains a cherished part of Saregama’s rich music library even today.
Within hours, social media was flooded with fan-made edits, reels and short videos using the song’s snippet. Audiences repeatedly urged the makers to release the full version, which had already struck an emotional chord with listeners. The reimagined rendition—performed by Shashwat Sachdev, Shahzad Ali, Subhadeep Das Chowdhury and Armaan Khan—features lyrics by the legendary Sahir Ludhianvi, with additional contemporary lines by Irshad Kamil.
The rising excitement around Ranveer Singh’s screen presence in the trailer, coupled with growing anticipation for Dhurandhar, further pushed the song’s viral momentum. Fans praised Shashwat Sachdev’s modern interpretation of the classic, helping the track gain widespread attention even before its official release.
Director Aditya Dhar expressed his gratitude for the unexpected response. “What began as a simple sneak peek turned into a wave of excitement. We hadn’t planned to release ‘Ishq Jalakar – Karvaan’ so soon, but the reaction to the snippet made it clear that the song had to come out now. Shashwat has beautifully reimagined the classic ‘Na To Karwan Ki Talash’, and we are glad the audience can finally hear the track that captures the soul of Dhurandhar,” he said.
Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, Dhurandhar features its complete music album under Saregama. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 5.
The music video is now streaming on the Saregama Music YouTube channel, while the full audio is available across major music platforms.
