Chitrangda Singh , Vivek Oberoi”>
It’s going to be a one-to-one combat between Chitrangda and Vivek Oberoi in Krissh 2. And no fake shots, please. She is getting into shape to really take on Oberoi.
It’s a different body-type for Chitrangda Singh as she prepares to get fighting-fit for Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 2. When the sultry actress was invited to listen to her role, the first thing she was told was, she must look capable of taking on 8-10 men in fistfights, and that includes flipping over the beefy body-builders in the fight to finish.
Chitrangda obviously feels it’s a great challenge ahead for her. Says the actress, “I really need to look convincing doing this. I don’t want to look like Angelina Jolie in Salt…you know, too svelte to beat up the guys like she was shown to be. I want a body type like Halle Berry’s.”
To beat Berry’s body, Chitrangda starts “stress training” from August, right after she finishes shooting for Ishaan where she needs to look more feminine and seductive.
“Oh, I am feminine and seductive in Krrish too,” she laughs. “But not the kind of girl any man would want to mess around with.”
In the film, Chitrangda would be shown changing into various avatars. Says a source, “Since it is a mutant’s role, she will be seen constantly transforming. Her character involves a lot of special effects…and a whole lot of very sexy styling.”
Among the many stunt scenes she is going to perform, there is one where Chitrangda gets on the floor with Vivek Oberoi for a hand-to-hand combat. This is the one that is causing her the maximum sleepless nights. Apparently, Rakesh Roshan doesn’t want to use special effects or simulated stunts to show them as equal adversaries.
Chitrangda would have to take on Vivek punch-for-punch. For this, the two would rehearse their combat sequence at length before shooting it.
Interestingly, Chitrangda is paired with both Hrithik and Vivek. Says a source, “Her role echoes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s in Dhoom 2. To begin with Chitrangda is with Hrithik. Then for some time she crosses over to Vivek’s side. It’s quite an ambiguous role with heavy shades of grey.”
Laughs Chitrangda, “I really need to get into better shape for this one. Not lose or gain weight. Just get a lot more muscular through stress training.”
