Deepika Padukone has been getting us all pumped up with her awesome sauce sartorial form at the Cannes 2018. Looks like she has redeemed herself form her previous fashion disasters and is all set and raring to go! All her outings spelled class, oomph and timelessness. DP owned herself this time around and oozed sex appeal even in basic casuals. But all said and done ain’t nobody works pansuits better than the lovely lady we are discussing about. Her latest ensemble was an edgy pantsuit from the house of MAO which comprised a full sleeved purple blazer and bell bottom pants which were ‘oh so snug’ that we almost let out a gasp of approval and admiration. With her sleek side parted poker straight hair and just the right accessories; Deepika reminds us why the colour purple is associated with all things royal.
Well, after we finished aahing over DP’s ensemble, we realised that the cosmetic brand that DP represents in fact is obsessed with different shades of purple and to refresh your memory another Bollywood diva that is the face of same brand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has worked with colour purple at Cannes in last two years: 2016 and 2017. Well, she sent the press into a tizzy when she opted for a bright purple lipstick in 2016 and her look got thumps down from fashion police despite getting approval by her fans for her brave choice. Later, last year she chose the same hue but with a different, deeper tinge. This time the look worked thanks to the fact that her loose waves and make up was complimenting her over all look. But having said that, DP’s interpretation of the colour purple has impressed us big time.
