Brahmastra actor Ranbir Kapoor says he can’t take advance bookings seriously; talks about Alia Bhatt’s inner trade analyst : Bollywood News

Brahmastra, one of the most anticipated films of 2022, has been growing in popularity by the day. Though the Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt starrer hits screens on September 9, advance bookings for the film started nearly a week earlier. Not surprisingly, Brahmastra has seen over 2 lakh tickets being sold across PVR cinemas properties in India alone, for its opening weekend. However, it seems like these reports of advance booking can’t impress the lead of the film.

During a press conference in Delhi, Ranbir Kapoor, who will be seen playing Shiva in the Ayan Mukerji directorial, was asked about the record-breaking numbers in advance booking. In his response, the actor answered, “We cannot take these figures and all seriously because till the audience doesn’t see the film, the game doesn’t begin. The film is made for the audience. I think on Friday, we will get to know where we are, kitne paani ke andar hain (how well we will fare).”

Kapoor further added, “But the feeling is, of course, positive. We have come as Shah Rukh Khan from Dilwale [Dulhania] Le Jaayenge, asking you, ‘come watch our movie!’ That’s all.” As he continued, Ranbir shared how his wife Alia Bhatt is excited about Brahmastra’s advance booking and keeping the track of reports. Ranbir said, “the most excited is Alia now. She is a trade analyst now. She is noting everything, this much is open here, this is the response there”.

Talking about the film, the ensemble star cast of the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy along with special appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The big-budget film will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
