The much-talked about controversial Bigg Boss 17 came to an end on January 28 with Munawar Faruqui emerging as the winner. Not too long ago, the stand-up comedian and ‘shayar’ Faruqui had walked away with the trophy of another interesting reality show and now yet again, the contestant has emerged victorious despite the tough competition with TV actor Abhishek Kumar. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Munawar Faruqui discussed about how life will be changing after his Bigg Boss journey.
Calling it a ‘life-changing experience, in an interaction, Munawar Faruqui expressed his gratitude towards fans and addressed it as his ‘birthday gift’. He sent across a beautiful message to his fans who voted for him and told us, “Thank you fans for showing your support throughout my journey. Every time I fell, you you lent me a helping hand. Trophy Dongri and I have fulfilled my promise to you". Furthermore talking about the show, he added, “It’s the biggest show of the country. It is a life-changing experience and it will remain like that forever.”
However, the standup comedian couldn’t deny the fact that being inside the Bigg Boss 17 house for a longer period time, did cause him some challenges which were quite traumatic. “This impact was important to reach a certain stage in life, but I would agree that the situations, within the house was quite difficult. There were indeed times when I felt drained out mentally. And to be honest, I have never felt this low in my life ever, emotionally or mentally.” Referring to Lockk Upp, where he was declared a winner too, Munawar revealed that Bigg Boss has had a stronger impact on him. “The show I was part of before this, it was very clear. We had to play against the team and there were very clear rules about the house. Also, it was just for 70 days but this was much longer. So, the experience was very different”.
Asserting that he is on his way to meet his son, Munawar Faruqui shared happiness about getting out of the house. We wondered if the comedian is up for a reunion with his friends from the house and whether he wouldn’t want to meet a few with whom he didn’t get along. But the reality show winner was more than happy to reunite with everyone and maintained that he will continue to share a cordial relation with everyone including Ayesha Khan. “I have not had an ugly end with any contestants. Even the fights were very natural and no one crossed any limits. I think there is no one whose presence I wouldn’t acknowledge if I meet them. Plus, I don’t really keep any grudges like that,” concluded Faruqui.
