Climate warrior Bhumi Pednekar, who recently won hearts in the film Thank You For Coming, shares an unwavering commitment to social causes and the environment. She has now taken a significant step towards ushering in positive change. She has officially launched ‘The Bhumi Foundation’s website, a non-profit advocacy platform that operates nationally to tackle issues related to the environment.
Bhumi has a deep-rooted passion for the planet and she also runs an advocacy platform on social media called ‘Climate Warrior’ that aims at educating people about the need for environmental conservation. The launch of The Bhumi Foundation is another attempt oog the actress taking her dedication forward towards the well-being to the planet.
The platform will work towards funding climate change projects led by individuals and NGOs, producing climate-related podcasts and documentaries, supporting climate awareness events, and investing in eco-conscious startups. The platform will aim at empowering organisations and climate conservationists to bring about real change and reduce the impact of pollution and carbon footprint in our country.

Expressing her enthusiasm for this new endeavor, Bhumi Pednekar said, "I am happy to announce the launch of 'The Bhumi Foundation'. This year, on my birthday, I started on the journey to conceptualise how I could aid the planet and it brings me immense joy to launch ‘The Bhumi Foundation’ today! I hope to generate climate awareness across India through this foundation and hope to empower the right individuals and communities to bring about tangible change.” She went on to add, “With immense gratitude and love for the planet, through The Bhumi Foundation we aim to channel our collective efforts, resources and passion in empowering those who have dedicated their lives to protect earth and our country. My vision for the platform is to bring together an army of climate conservationists and environmental advocates who share a common goal of conserving the environment and creating a more sustainable world. As I embark on this new journey I invite everyone to join hands to protect earth.”
Apart from this, Bhumi Pednekar is the first National Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals for UNDP India and the Goodwill Ambassador for Healing Himalayas, an NGO that keeps the mountain range clear and protects its ecosystem.
