Ayushmann Khurrana pens a poem for front-line workers, says “India salutes you” : Bollywood News

India is fighting a pandemic that has turned out to be the biggest public health crisis of recent times. And while we are advised to stay at home, it is the essential service providers that are out on work, trying to make our lives easier. Ayushmann Khurrana, who often resorts to poems to express how he feels and also to kindle some hope, penned a touching poem dedicated to the front-line workers. He also shared a video of himself reciting it.

"This is for all the Frontline Warriors ~ fighting for us, saving us, risking their lives for us and our families against coronavirus! Have written these words to express my gratitude. I salute you. India salutes you. Jai Hind!," his tweet reads.

His poem begins as a reflection of the present situation we're going through. "Aaj hum dare hue hain, Jeevit hain par mare hue hain, Aaj lagta hai kaash kar dein sab kuch theek is duniya ko karke rewind, But believe me this is nothing but the collective karma of mankind," it says.

The actor goes on to salute the unsung heroes who contribute so much in our daily lives but are rarely acknowledged. He also harps at the privileged class for being thankless. "Salaam hai usko jo sadkein saaf karta hai, kachra le kar jaata hai, ghar ka saamaan le kar aata hai. Aur phir apne ghar jaata hai. Par humne unko kabhi izzat dee hee nahi. Hum paise waale hain. Humare baap ka kya jaata hai," his poem says.

He sings off saying we are only required to stay home while it is they who have to go all out, fighting this difficult time. Several of Ayushmann's B-town colleagues, including Hrithik Roshan and Kriti Sanon, hailed him.

The actor pretty much spoke all our hearts, didn't he?
