Ashwini Kalsekar on working with Ajay Devgn in Rudra- The Edge of Darkness- “Raja aadmi hai ye, Dil ka Raja hai,acting ka, har cheez ka Raja hai” : Bollywood News

Actor Ashwini Kalsekar is currently gearing up for the Disney+Hotstar series Rudra- The Edge of Darkness which has Ajay Devgn playing the titular role. Ashwini has worked with Ajay Devgn in multiple films in the past including Golmaal Returns, Singham, Singham Returns, Golmaal Again. At the trailer launch of the web series on Monday, Ashwini spoke about her experience working with Ajay.

"Maine mere khayal se jyada tar filmein Ajay sir ke saath hi kiya hai. Matlab unke filmon ka mai hissa rahi hu. (I think I have worked the most with Ajay Devgn. I have been a part of multiple films that he starred in.) Every time whichever genre that I work in with him, whatever that I have done, he's been consistently working hard. I am sure everybody who has worked with him will say that there is so much to learn from him,"Ashwini said praising her co-star Ajay.

“Mai humesha bahut dil se kehti hu, ki Raja aadmi hai ye and actually dil ka Raja hai, acting ka har cheez ka raja hai.(I always tell from the heart that he has King like qualities and he is the King of hearts and a King of everything). He has an aura around him by which you're taken aback but he makes you feel so comfortable. Everytime he is very sweet. Here I play his superior but I was like how can I because people fondly call him boss and there he was calling me boss on the set. For me, I was pretty nervous, but he made me very comfortable,” she added. Ashwini Kalsekar plays the role of Joint Commissioner Deepali Handa in Rudra.

The six-episode series is an Indian rendition of the globally successful British series, Luther. The series has a dark and complex narrative that is an idiosyncratic race-against-the-clock thriller delving into the psyche of highly-intelligent criminals and the detective who hunts them. Rudra-The Edge of Darkness will be available exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar from 4th March 2022 in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali.
