Two years after the release of Ludo, filmmaker Anurag Basu is back on set for the shooting of his next directorial project, Metro: In Dino. Sharing the update with fans, cast member Anupam Kher dropped a video, which featured him along with the director on Thursday.

In the video, Anupam pokes fun at Anurag as he says, “It will be my 533rd film. Anurag, what took you so long to work with me.” In his response, Anurag reminds Anupam of a previous project of the duo, which was shelved. Later, Anurag jokingly says, “You are putting me under pressure by repeatedly mentioning the number of films you have done so far.”

Post his chat, Kher asks fans to wish them luck for the shoot of Metro In Dino. Instagramming the video, he wrote, “Starting my 533rd film #MetroInDino with one and only @anuragbasuofficial. Have always admired his cinema and his craft. Today is the first day of the shoot of the film. A great beginning to the end of the year.” Many from his Insta fam flooded the comments section with red-heart emoticons.

For the unversed, earlier this month, the sequel of Anurag Basu’s 2007 release, Life In a Metro, was announced. The ensemble star cast of the film will feature Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Speaking of the project, the renowned director said, “The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them. As the music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn’t be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work.”
