Amitabh Bachchan and Shoojit Sircar plead the producers of Shoebite to sort their differences and release the film

The Hindi cinema churns out hundreds of films every year whether it is a small budget or a big budget film. While many get a proper release, some don't even see the light of the day. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has starred in an array of projects, recently came forward and pleaded the makers of Shoebite to release their film.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter to make a plea to the makers of Shoojit Sircar's Shoebite to sort their differences and release their canned film. He asked to not kill the creativity and hard work of people due to their differences. Even Shoojit Sircar backed Amitabh’s recent Twitter plea. He said that he is ready to sell his house to get the film released.

On Friday, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "YES .. utv & Disney .. put aside the internal debate, issues, or personal view points and give this labour of love from Shoojit Sircar a chance for others to appreciate this novel story and film ..PLEASE.”

On Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan shared two posters from the film and wrote: “T 2753 - PLEASE .. PLEASE ... PLEASE .. Utv & Disney , or whoever else has it .. Warners , whoever .. JUST RELEASE THIS FILM .. !! lot of hard labour been put in ..???? don’t KILL creativity !!”

Supporting Big B’s outburst, Shoojit Sircar spoke to a leaked daily and said that the production houses Disney, UTV and Fox come under one umbrella. Earlier, they were separate entities. He said that Amitabh Bachchan and he are pleading the producers release the film. He thinks that producer and presenter of the film, Ronnie Screwwala, should come forward and resolve the issue for them. Shoojit further said that he is even ready to sell his house to pay the producers to release the film for Big B, his crew, and technicians.

Shoebite was Shoojit Sircar’s second film as a director. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sarika, Dia Mirza and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Shoojit and Big B last came together for Deepika Padukone- Irrfan Khan starrer Piku.

Shoojit Sircar’s latest film October, starring Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu, is slated to release on April 13.
