Farhan explained that he often creates personalized playlists to understand the underlying themes and psychology of the characters he portrays. For Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, he discovered a theme by Trevor Jones that perfectly captured the essence of Milkha Singh's journey. The theme, titled "Promentory" from The Last of the Mohicans, resonated deeply with Farhan. He described how it mirrored Milkha Singh's life, starting with seemingly ominous tones and gradually building to a triumphant release.

An excerpt of his post read, "If you listen close enough, there’s something subtly building underneath that finally leads to the release of all that pressure and expectation, the victory theme. This to me, represented Milkha ji’s life in one piece of music ..

A Serendipitous Discovery

While shooting for his upcoming film 120 Bahadur, Farhan accidentally heard the theme and decided to experiment with it. He seamlessly incorporated it into the final race scene of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, creating a powerful and emotionally resonant moment. He concluded the caption with, "Yesterday on set in Ladakh, I happened to hear the theme while waiting for the crew to get a shot ready and wondered what it would be like if this theme was dropped in on the final race .. Tried it out on a whim and what happened was pure magic. The edit is untouched. Enjoy."
