Alia Bhatt, in the year of 2012, made her glamourous debut in Karan Johar directorial, Student of the Year. The actress was all of 19 when she stepped in the industry as the leading lady opposite two other debutantes- Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. As the actress has completed over 5 years in the industry, she is excelling not just as a star but also as a brilliant actress. Now, after six years, Dharma Productions is once again launching two new faces with the sequel, Student of the Year 2. Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria will make their Bollywood debuts with Tiger Shroff in the lead role.
Alia Bhatt, who has been busy with Raazi promotions, recently spoke about the girls Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria making their debut in Student of the Year 2. She is very excited to see new the faces and said that they have amazing presence. Speaking about their new faces, she said, "I'm so happy that we (Dharma Productions) are launching to new girls - Ananya and Tara. I call we because I consider them (Dharma) like a family. Both of them have a bright future and an amazing presence. I'm quite excited to see what they do."
While there are rumours that the older students- Alia, Varun and Sidharth will make a cameo in it, Alia Bhatt said that she has not been asked for it yet.
The stage is set as Dharma Productions prepares for yet another millennial love story. Student of the Year 2 is directed by Karan Johar’s protégé Punit Malhotra. The director has earlier helmed Sonam Kapoor– Imran Khan’s I Hate Luv Storys. The much-awaited sequel is set to release on November 23, 2018.
Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, is busy with the promotions of Meghna Gulzar directorial Raazi. The film is adapted from Harinder Sikka's book titled ‘Calling Sehmat’. Raazi will narrate the story of an Indian spy named Sehma, played by Alia Bhatt, who is married off to a Pakistani military officer. This is set in 1971 during the Indo- Pak war. The film stars Vicky Kaushal as Alia's husband and is slated to release on May 11, 2018.
