Actor Alia Bhatt continued her striking fashion streak at the Cannes Film Festival with a regal Day 3 appearance that beautifully blended Indian heritage with contemporary couture. The actor embraced a “Modern Maharani” aesthetic for her latest outing at the prestigious festival, drawing attention for a look that many fashion enthusiasts described as vintage royal glamour with a modern, Bridgerton-inspired twist.
After making headlines for her earlier Cannes appearances this year, Alia once again captured attention in an intricately detailed ivory ensemble that celebrated Indian craftsmanship while maintaining an international red carpet appeal. During a quick interaction with Harper's Bazaar, the actor gave fans a candid glimpse into her mood, music choices, and behind-the-scenes chaos before stepping onto the global stage.
When asked to describe her look for the evening, Alia said, “Romantic, rosy, and stitched.” The description perfectly reflected her outfit, which featured soft feminine detailing, structured silhouettes, and traditional styling elements woven into a high-fashion presentation. The actor also revealed the kind of music she had been listening to while getting ready for the evening. “It keeps changing. But feel very calm, zen, easy music,” she shared.
However, despite the calm playlist, the atmosphere inside the glam room was anything but peaceful. Speaking about the behind-the-scenes mood before her red carpet appearance, Alia admitted, “The mood in the glam room today was just chaos. Yesterday it was calm-chaos. Today, it was just chaos.”
Interestingly, when asked what feels more intimidating between the Cannes red carpet and social media reactions afterward, the actor confidently responded, “No. Neither are intimidating.”
Alia also revealed the perfect soundtrack she would choose for her red carpet walk. Referring to one of her most memorable on-screen characters, she said she would pick “Rani’s Intro Anthem” from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani as her entrance song.
After the glamour, couture, cameras, and spotlight, the actor confessed that her post-carpet ritual is actually very simple. “Take everything off and just go to sleep,” she said.
Alia Bhatt is attending Cannes 2026 as a global ambassador for L'Oréal Paris. Professionally, she has a busy slate ahead with Alpha lined up for release later this year, followed by Love & War directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
