Actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan have unveiled a new motion poster for their upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, formally kickstarting the promotional campaign ahead of its theatrical release.
The film marks the duo’s reunion after a gap of over a decade. Akshay and Priyadarshan have previously collaborated on several commercially successful comedies, including Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, De Dana Dan and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Their earlier projects became significant fixtures in mainstream Hindi comedy, making this collaboration one of the more closely watched releases of 2026.
Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla features an ensemble cast that includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Mithila Palkar. Veteran actor Asrani will also be seen in one of his final on-screen appearances. The film has been written by Akash A. Kaushik, with screenplay contributions from Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan. Production has wrapped, and the project is currently in post-production, with music and promotional assets expected to be rolled out in phases.
Bhooth Bangla is scheduled to release in theatres on April 10, 2026, after a few adjustments to its release date in recent months. The makers are expected to intensify promotions in the coming weeks, with reports suggesting that producer Ektaa R Kapoor will host the launch of the film’s first song as part of the campaign build-up.
