He recently set perfect health goals as he shared a picture of him exercising at his sea facing residence and on this occasion of Republic Day, he decided to continue champion the cause of being healthy. He decided to take his family on a hiking trip on January 26.

Akshay Kumar, who is quite active on social media, took to Twitter to share a picture of him on a hiking trip. The image also featured Twinkle Khanna and his daughter Nitara, as the trio looked all geared up in their sporty costumes to take up the hiking challenge. The actor also captioned the image by adding that he decided to celebrate January 26 in this manner and termed it as the ‘Republic Day spirit’.

He shared this post with a caption that read, “Woke up at the crack of dawn and went hiking with the family, high on the #RepublicDay spirit.” Interestingly, the picture also features Akshay Kumar and his actress turned author wife Twinkle Khanna holding the Indian National Flag to mark the Republic Day celebrations.

Coming to the work front, Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in 2.0 as the antagonist, has a series of films to look forward to in 2019. He will star in period films like Kesari and Prithviraj Chauhan whereas will feature in multi-starrers like Mission Mangal and Housefull 4. He will reunite with Kambakkht Ishq leading lady Kareena Kapoor Khan in Good News too.
