The popular stars attended the mahurat shot of the upcoming film in the ambitious cop universe, featuring Ajay Devgn as Singham.

Just a day ago, Bollywood Hungama exclusively reported that the mahurat shot of Singham Again will be held at YRF Studios in suburban Mumbai on September 16. And now, after the ceremony, the makers of the film including filmmaker Rohit Shetty, as well as actors Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh decided to give the fans a glimpse into the film and shared photos from the launch. Going by the photos, it seems that along with Ajay Devgn, this new film in the cop universe and Singham franchise, we hear, is also expected to feature Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi in a pivotal role.

Taking to Instagram, the actors as well as the filmmaker Rohit Shetty shared some heartfelt messages, as they attended the mahurat shot ceremony of Singham Again. Ajay Devgn, who will be playing the lead in this action entertainer, in his note, said, “12 years ago, we gave Indian Cinema its biggest cinematic Cop Universe. With all the love we have received over the years, the force got stronger and the Singham family got bigger. Today we come together to take our franchise ahead with Singham Again!” On the other hand, marking his third collaboration with the actor in the Singham franchise, Rohit Shetty added, “Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi... 12 Years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Today, we begin filming Singham Again... the 5th film in our cop franchisee. ISME HUM APNI JAAN LAGA DENGE! BAS AAPKE PYAAR AUR DUA KI ZAROORAT HAI! (We will put our heart and soul into it. We just need your blessings).”

Ranveer Singh, who will play a part in the Singham franchise for the first time, also was excited for this collaboration as the Simmba star shared, “Shubhaarambh (emojis) All set to reprise one of my most loved characters from the Rohit Shetty Cop Universe - SIMMBA ??????? in #SinghamAgain ! We seek your love and blessings for our new journey”. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar aka Sooryavanshi, who had to give the ceremony amiss since he is out of country, expressed his disappointment of not being able to attend it as he continued, “Not in the country at the moment, missing from the frame in person but totally there in spirit. Can’t wait to join you guys on the sets of #SinghamAgain! Sending my best wishes. Jai Mahakaal”.

Reports also had it that Deepika Padukone, who is expected to play the role of Lady Singham, will also be attending the ceremony. However, it seems that the actress too couldn’t attend it. As per sources, it is being said that the actress will be introduced in her new avatar in this film and it will feature Arjun Kapoor as the lead antagonist.
