Ekkaki was initially introduced as a horror story, featuring eerie moments and hints of paranormal activity in its first episode. However, the second episode delivered an unexpected turn, revealing that the mysterious elements were linked to aliens rather than the paranormal.

Aashish Chanchlani’s recently released web series Ekaki has continued to keep audiences guessing with its evolving narrative. What initially appeared to be a straightforward horror series has now taken an unexpected turn, shifting into the sci-fi thriller genre. The makers also unveiled a new poster to announce and highlight this surprising twist in the storyline.
Sharing the news, they wrote, Here is the REAL poster of Ekaki. “Ekaki was always a sci-fi story hiding under the mask of horror. We welcome you to the beginning of..the end Chapter 3 drops 21st december 2:04 sharp.”

Aashish Chanchlani, best known for his comedic work, has also drawn attention for exploring a more nuanced form of storytelling. His performance and creative approach have been noted as a departure from his usual content, highlighting his willingness to experiment beyond his established image.
Ekaki brings together a familiar creative team led by Aashish Chanchlani, with several collaborators from his close-knit circle. The series features Kunal Chhabhria as co-producer, Akash Dodeja as parallel lead, Jashan Sirwani as executive producer, and Tanish Sirwani as creative director. Grishim Nawanii has served as co-screenplay writer, while Ritesh Sadhwani is the line producer. Ekaki is scheduled to release on November 27, 2025, exclusively on ACV Studios’ YouTube channel.
