Aamir Khan recently celebrated a proud father moment as his daughter with first wife Reema Khan, Ira Khan got engaged to the love of her life, Nupur Shikhare. The two have been dating for the past few years and Nupur even shared a video of his proposal to Ira during a sports game on his social media page. The couple decided to host an official ceremony earlier this weekend, which was attended by the entire Khan family including his second wife Kiran Rao. During the ceremony, the actor was seen bonding with Mansoor Ali Khan and even danced on the song 'Papa Kehte Hain'.

A day ago, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare hosted an official engagement bash which was attended by the Khan family including her cousin and actor Imran Khan. Many friends of the family like actress Fatima Sana Shaikh, director Ashutosh Gowarikar and his wife Sunita Gowarikar were also a part of the celebrations. Celebrating the momentous occasion, Aamir Khan was seen letting his hair loose during the bash and we saw him dancing and joining the merriment along with Mansoor Ali Khan. Guests and bride-to-be Ira were in for a surprise when her father grooved to his iconic song ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ which was from his debut film as the lead, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT). The actor shook a leg with his beloved real-life Papa Mansoor Khan.

For the unversed, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak featured Aamir Khan alongside Juhi Chawla and was one of the biggest romantic dramas of Bollywood. The original song also featured Ira’s mother Reema Khan in a small shot where Aamir is seen shaking a leg with her.

For the unversed, Aamir Khan tied the knot with Reema Khan in 1986 and the couple had two children, Junaid and Ira Khan. While Junaid is expected to make his Bollywood debut soon, Ira has stayed away from Bollywood and is currently busy with her social work. Reema and Aamir separated in the year 2002.

On the work front, after the Laal Singh Chaddha debacle, Aamir recently announced that he would be taking a break from Bollywood.
