Kriti’s heartfelt performance and Rajkummar Rao's impressive performance as Sattu aka Shailendra anchored the narrative of the film.

Celebrating eight years of Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, Kriti took to social media and shared a series of pictures from behind the scenes and wrote, “8 years of Sattu and Aarti! ❤️ #shaadimainzarooraana.”

At a time when female characters were often overshadowed in romantic dramas, Kriti stood tall, lending Aarti depth and dignity. Her chemistry with Rajkummar Rao was electric, but what truly stood out was her command over Aarti’s emotional graph; every hesitation, every heartbreak, every triumph felt real.

The film also had a restraint but firm performance from Rajkummar Rao. He played the role of a young lover being ditched and how it shaped his future actions. The movie is also known for its heartbreak anthem ‘Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar, Mera Inteqaam Dekhegi’. The song continues to be popular even today.

Directed by Ratnaa Sinha, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana also starred Nayani Dixit, Manoj Pahwa, Govind Namdev, KK Raina, Navni Parihar and Vipin Sharma.
