4 Times Bollywood Lost Its Money In Silly Ways

Bollywood News

Bollywood has always had a big influence in our lives. Be it the thumkas we try to recreate or the various intense dialogues we spew at our friends. But one thing we cannot count on Bollywood for, is how ridiculously loose they are with money.

While some let it freely flow into the ocean, others store it in Jholas and sandooks. Now we’ve clearly learnt not to imitate Bollywood in the way they store their stash. While their lessons on love and friendship are sure to leave one dreamy-eyed, we urge you to steer clear of the way B-Towners managed their money and lost it in the silliest of ways.

1. Hera Pheri

The hilarity of Paresh Rawal a.k.a. Baburao Ganpatrao Apte a.k.a. Babu bhaiya along with his two knights in command, Raju (Akshay Kumar) and Shyam (Sunil Shetty) is incomparable as they use gunny-sack like bags in order to pay the ransom amount to the dreaded villain, Kabira.

2. Apna Sapna Money Money

Sania Badnaam (Celina Jaitly) is the epitome of bad ways to store your stash. Who would imagine keeping something precious safe in a pair of ladies sandals? Well, this wasn’t the smartest decision on her end. Although successful at first, those sandals eventually slip out of her reach.

3. De Dana Dan

When girlfriends demand money, nothing comes in the way of making it happen! Nitin (Akshay Kumar) and Ram (Suniel Shetty) set out on a journey to get money to win their girlfriends’ hearts. What follows is a series of events that leave the audience in splits. A flood eventually destroys all the suitcases of money resulting in a major loss.

4. Andaaz Apna Apna

Andaaz Apna Apna

The classic Bollywood film that gave us one of the baddest + funniest villains we have seen a.k.a Crime Master Gogo! One of the silliest parts of this Salman Khan-Aamir Khan starrer has got to be the last scene in this film. The valuable diamonds everyone is rooting after is loosely kept in a black velvet pouch. The film reached its silliest point when Aamir Khan drops the diamonds, and everyone goes crazy collecting them. Although the hero keeps the real diamonds safe in a red velvet pouch and returns them to Paresh Rawal at the end, can you even imagine using something as silly as a pouch to store something as precious as diamonds?!

Shoes, safes or jholas – none of these really proved to be safe for any of our favourite Bollywood stars. When they lost valuable assets, the pinch was hard! And that equation is true in reality too. Losing hard earned money, lost because of lack of safety is a fear everyone faces. That fear escalates to a new level as technology and mobile banking merge. We laugh at the first thought of it!

ICICI’s newest app iMobile ensures safety and ease altogether. A mobile banking app that works primarily on a personalized private password and unique device ID. Only when your unique device ID and password match can one access your saving account. So scrap the old school safes, sandooks and pushtani matkas and get updated with ICICI’s iMobile. It’s safe, secure, and not silly! Not even Mogambo can crack this one!
