32 Years Of Mr India: Anil Kapoor pays tribute to late action stunt director Veeru Devgan

Anil Kapoor and late Sridevi starrer Mr. India was one of the biggest hits in the year 1987. The film was helmed by Shekhar Kapur. Today, Anil is celebrating 32 glorious years of the film. The actor shared a heartfelt post in the honour of the film and also dedicated it to late action director Veeru Devgan, Ajay Devgn‘s father.

Veeru Devgan passed away on May 27. He was the stunt director on Mr. India. Anil Kapoor shared a collage on Twitter with all the iconic scenes from the film and paid tribute to Veeru Devgan. “#MrIndia was made iconic by its children friendly action scenes & Veeru’s Midas touch. I want to dedicate its 32nd anniversary to the man who made these unforgettable moments possible. #VeeruDevgan was an amazing man & I’m lucky to have worked with him. He is sorely missed…,” he wrote on Twitter. The collage featured Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Amrish Puri and all the kids.

Recently, Anil Kapoor hinted collaboration with Shekhar Kapur. While it won’t be a sequel to the film, it seems like they are working on a new project. Mr. India was a story about a poor man Anil who took care of several of his nieces and nephew after his family members passed away. The film’s villain Amrish Puri essayed the role of Mogambo which became all-time favourite villain.
