This week we see the release of multiple films in the form of PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2 (PKP2), WEDDING PULLAV, DIMAAGH KA DAHI and other small time films. However, from the lot that hits the screens today, PKP2 which is a sequel to the 2011 sleeper hit PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA is expected to fare well.
Keeping up with expectations, PKP2 has opened on a good note with approximately 45% occupancy rate during morning shows. On the other hand, WEDDING PULLAV has recorded a meagre 15% occupancy rate, while the previous release TALVAR still continues its run at the box office.
On the whole, with positive reviews, PKP 2 is expected to dominate this weekend, with TALVAR and WEDDING PULLAV slugging it out for second spot. In terms of business, while PKP 2 is expected to grow, the other releases will have to rely heavily on good word of mouth.
