There have been several speculations and rumours about Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming projects ever since he has been released from prison. However now we hear that the first film that the actor is all set to start in his second innings is Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi.
The film traces the journey of a father - daughter relationship and the role of Sanjay’s daughter is played by Sayyesha Saigal who debuted in Bollywood with the Ajay Devgn starrer Shivaay. The actor has already started preparing for the role and from what we hear he decided to start shooting for the film on January 29. The number holds special importance because Sanjay Dutt’s birthday falls on July 29. The actor apparently has been undergoing physical training for the role and has been spending two hours at the gym every day.
Talking about the film, Omung Kumar revealed that the film will be shot in a start to end schedule for two months and first part of the same will be in Agra. Also he expressed his excitement about working with Sanjay Dutt and added that it will be fun to direct him. He was all praises for the 57 year old actor. He also mentioned that he is eagerly awaiting the comeback of Sanjay Dutt on the big screen like his fans are.
Sanjay Dutt, soon after releasing from prison, was supposed to start with Siddharth Anand’s action drama but the film was said to be shelved. Later, there were talks on kick starting Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister Shelly Chopra’s film Marco Bhau but the script of the film is currently undergoing some important changes. Last seen in Policegiri, Sanjay Dutt will be co-producing the biopic based on him starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
