Just recently reports stated that Vishesh Films would be collaborating with a leading production house other than T-Series for Aashiqui 3. Clarifying rumours surrounding this association, Vishesh Films thereby announced that the third film of the Aashiqui franchise will be a continued joint production venture between them (Vishesh Films) and T-Series.
Aashiqui 3 to be a joint venture between Vishesh Films and T-SeriesReaders may recall that, Vishesh Films and T-Series had come together to create the successful franchise Aashiqui, way back in the year 1990. The film starred Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, both of who became overnight sensations with this film. Post that, the two production houses (Vishesh Films and T-Series) once again joined hands in 2013 and created the musical blockbuster Aashiqui 2, which was directed by Mohit Suri. The film, which featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, turned out to be a massive success.
Commenting on the same, Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films said, “The Aashiqui franchise is a labour of love, which was created by my brother, Mahesh Bhatt, Shri Gulshan Kumar and myself back in 1990. Our association for the movies with T-Series has been a proud and a dear one, and will continue being so for Aashiqui 3. This is a partnership between Vishesh Films and T-Series only and we are very excited to continue this journey with them.”
Echoing Mahesh Bhatt’s emotions was Bhushan Kumar (Managing Director-T-Series) who said, “Aashiqui has been a film which is close to our hearts and I will be working on this film with Bhatt Saab and Mukeshji. It is a film which will be made under T-Series and Vishesh Films banner, as always. Aashiqui is a successful association that we have and will continue to have.”
While the script and casting are still to be locked, reports state that Aashiqui 3 might star Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. Though unconfirmed, Vishesh Films and T-Series is expected to make an official announcement on the same soon.
