brilliant music by vishal-shekhar.both of them have done fantastic job.once the song ooh la la starts it takes you in a different world and forces you to dance.this an outstanding track in the album.and most importantly very catchy.next sons in the album ishq sufiayana is a good melodious romantic song.again this one is also catchy.one feels like listening this one again and again.the othr two songs honeymoon ki raat and twinkle twinkle are unique yet ordinary.the composers have tried their best but these two songs are not that good as ooh la la and ishq sufiyana.overall a great album just listen to it and do ooh la la.

The Dirty Picture is one of the most anticipated films of the year, but from a music point of view, I honestly wasn't looking forward to the music of this film. Reason? Even though Vishal-Shekhar are credited as the music composers, the truth is that the duo deliver for big films but somehow don't for small(er) films. Examples are plenty ... Buddha Hoga Tera Baap, Alladin, Bhootnath, Home Delivery etc. Agreed they have a Ra. One backing them, but we all know the grandeur of that film. Anwya, coming to this soundtrack, it kick-starts with Ooh Lala. Considering the film is set during the 80's, the song has a Bhappi Lahiri feel to it. the style the lyrics and the singing, speaking of which, the song is rendered by Shreya Ghoshal and Bhappi Lahiri! They bring in the energy and charm required for a song of this type. The songs turns out to be more entertaining than actually melodious. Also, this is Milan Luthria and Vishal-Shekhar's second outing with Bhappi Lahiri (after Bombai Nagaria in Taxi No. 9211). Overall, not the kind of number that i would like listening to, but instead watching. Ishq Sufiana sounds like the perfect song for Emran Hashmi. Pritam and earlier Himesh Reshamiya have churned out several hit songs for him and I was looking forward to this song rendered by Kamal Khan is a good song, though i personally feel Emran Hashmi has had better songs in the past. The singer does justice to the song and sounds fresh. But this is the kind of song that has potential to grow and turn into a a chartbuster. So let's wait and see! All in a ll a good song. Sunidhi Chauhan does the female version and excels as usual. She is truly a rock-star! Sunidhi is back with a raunchy number (is this the one Alisha Chinai turned down?) called Honeymoon Ki Raat. Some fantastic singing by the talented singer makes this number enjoyable. The lyrics are a little weird honestly and seemed forced in places. The final song Twinkle Twinkle by Shreya Ghoshal is again a 80s styled number is yet another number on this album that appears to be situational. The lyrics mention several popular characters from nursery rhymes, but the song is anything but innocent or kid-like. There is a certain mischief in the song and kind of describes the life of Silk Smitha. Rana Majumdar joins the song with an R.D. Burman hangover in his voice but it is Shreya Ghoshal who shines in this ordinary (tune wise) number. Overall The Dirty Picture is not a musical feast nor is it very bad. Average ina ll. The only number that is non-situational and stands out on your IPod is Ishq Sufiana (in both versions).
