Expectations -- It would be outrageous if one would have said that "my expectation for a bhatt-Pritam project is zero". Emraan-Bhatt-Pritam - when this trio comes no matter what the movie is the music is a sure success. But this time it's not Pritam, it's one of the most soulful composers of the industry - Mithoon also with Harshit Saxena, Siddharth Haldipur & Sangeet Haldipur. So does this sudden change work?
MUSIC --
The first track of the album is composed by Harshit Saxena whom we know for sure. "HAAL-E-DIL" basically deals with romance and all and is mostly similar to 'Maahi' from 'Raaz 2'. It's a beautifully composed track that enlightens heart for sure and also it comes with an acoustic version. Next to come is a passionate lusty cabaret kind of track "AA ZARA" sung wonderfully by Sunidhi Chauhan. This thrilling and chilling track works very well also in its Reloaded version. "AYE KHUDA" is a mind-blowing sad song that carries a Sufi feel in it. Sung by Kshitij Tarey, Salim Bhat & Mithoon, this song has probability to top charts the moment it comes on screens. It also has a Remix version, mixed by Kiran Kamath. The magic of 'Aye Khuda' does not wear off properly when "PHIR MOHABBAT", another soul-touching sad song makes its entry. Mohd Irfan, Arijit & Saim Bhat unitedly sing this super-soother song. Mithoon is basically known for composing these types of mild songs and he does that perfect this time also. Last but not the least, comes "TUJHKO BHOOLANA" makes a spectacular entry with its wild plus romantic plus sad plus angry feel. This one's a very unusual kind of track sung by Sangeet Haldipur & Roshni Baptist and composed by Sangeet Haldipur & Siddharth Haldipur that works just perfect and will be accepted genuinely by the youth.
On the whole, MURDER 2 works just fine and much better than "CROOK" cause this one has some pulsar tracks along with some great kind of soulful numbers. Grab this one, they don't make such any more.
