Emraan upset despite Murder 2 being a hit

It is a 'kabhi khushi kabhi gham' situation for Emraan Hashmi. Despite Murder 2 turning out to be his biggest film ever in terms of opening weekend collections, he is barely managing to celebrate with his friends and members of Bollywood fraternity. Reason being that over the weekend, he was summoned by the makers of The Dirty Picture to report in Hyderabad for the film's shooting schedule.

"Emraan is feeling really irritated about the state of affairs", informs a friend of the actor, "He wanted to stay back in Mumbai and closely monitor how the film was progressing. In fact till Friday night he was also sneaking into single screens as well as multiplexes to
check out audience reactions. By the time details started pouring in around Friday's collections, it was crystal clear that Murder 2 was a hit. However Emraan could hardly rejoice as he had a flight to catch to Hyderabad on Saturday afternoon."

This made it a really tiring weekend for Emraan as he hadn't slept much for days leading to the release of Murder 2 due to an extensive inter-city travel for the film's promotion. Later on Friday night too he couldn't rest since he was catching up with friends and family members who had assembled at his place to congratulate him for the film's success.

"The last thing that he wanted at this time was to resume work. He wanted to celebrate and though he was secretly hoping that the makers of The Dirty Picture - Ekta Kapoor and Milan Luthria - would excuse him from the shoot, no such call came. There were congratulatory calls of course but the message of 'let's get back to work' was definitely
there in a bold print", the friend adds.

Due to that a worn out Emraan did force himself to get ready and board the flight to Hyderabad. However, it was written all over his face and voice that he wasn't pleased one bit.

"Honestly, I would have preferred to stay back in Mumbai till the end of first week of Murder 2", says a weary sounding Emraan, "Theek hai, picture bahaut achchi chal rahi hai par I also wanted to enjoy the success. May be if not for an entire week but then at least a weekend. I guess I deserved that much at the least. All I can say is that I am not liking this one bit."

Well, one can possibly not blame the makers of The Dirty Picture either to have stuck to the schedule. After all, the Telangana strike had already halted the film's shoot for two full days last week and they would have certainly wanted to get back on track as soon as
possible. In the bargain, it seems it was Emraan who lost out after all.
